CEO MESSAGE
I have always believed that God placed man on earth, to solve problems. Problems must then be perceived not as obstacles but opportunities that unleash, the vast potentials, nature has endowed humanity, for a productive economic activity to improve the human society. When we dare to unravel our creative talents, skills and giftings in life, amazing results follow. I have never been more convinced than I am now, that the greatest wealth on earth, is not gold, diamond, silver or crude oil but man. Much can be achieved when you task your brain productively. Not accepting responsibility is keeping our resources dormant and in the process makes us to underperform. Underperforming, keeps society below capacity and therefore leaves us with underdevelopment in human capital as well as infrastructures. We don’t have any reason to underdeveloped when we actually have all it takes to break the barriers and chains that bind us, from reaching the zenith of our human endeavors. We must therefore, identify the traditions, customs and practices that re-tadiate growth either in our personal lives or in our society; and like the holy scriptures says, lay them aside so we can make real genuine progress in our communities and personal lives. We have been told by statistics that the world today stands at 8.23 billion people. And of this demography the youths highest in proportion. These are not just numbers but capacity, passion that will drive innovations, creative talents that will reengineer processes. Passion and commitment that can change our world. But don’t forget that skills, talents, innovations can only thrive where there is peace. A violent society will put people to flight leading to forced migration. I therefore call on you as ambassadors of the UN for which you are today gathered to uphold the ideals of the Unite Nations in promoting equity, fairness, justice, respect for human dignity and peaceful coexistence wherever, you find yourself. Be the voice of the voiceless in your committees and the change that you desire in society. Remember that your voice count and so must use it wisely.
